Convenient Ways to Store Your Cleaning Supplies

Keeping a clean home takes time, energy, and of course the right cleaning supplies. To make the most of your cleaning efforts, your supplies should be organized and stored for easy access. The convenience of locating these items means you'll be more inclined to clean since you won’t have to dig through a jumble of products.

Before you decide on the best method for storing cleaning supplies in your home, take a few minutes to evaluate what products and tools you use most for cleaning. Our guess… it's probably time to weed out certain items. No need to keep every mop, broom, vacuum, and duster you own. Dispose of duplicate, worn-out, or hard-to-use tools. Afterwards, take the time to thoroughly clean the ones you are keeping.

Finally…it’s time to evaluate your storage space. Cleaning supplies don't always have to go under a sink. The garage, linen closet, back of a door, or a hallway closet may all be useful to you. Also, always remember that NO cleaning products should be stored where young children, pets, or vulnerable adults can reach them. Cleaning supplies should always be stored in areas that are dry and temperature-controlled. Now let’s get started…

Use the Vertical Space on Doors

Mops and brooms can be hung on the inside of a door with hooks or spring-activated clamps. A narrow wire or plastic baskets can be added to hold containers. Lastly, lower hooks can be used to hold dustpans, dusters, and small scrub brushes.

Use a Rolling Cart

A small utility cart is a perfect storage spot for cleaning supplies. These can be put in a closet, behind a door, or between appliances. Don’t forget to add clear acrylic trays or small bins to hold cleaning supplies together.

Create Easier Access

Try using a turntable in cabinets for easier access to cleaning supplies. This will help you use every product and keep an eye on when it is time to replenish items.

Use Caddies and Bins

Okay…so this one is probably a no brainer, but we thought we would share anyway just cover all of our basis. Cleaning caddies are perfect for storing cleaning supplies on your shelves. We recommend using separate caddies for your bathroom, kitchen, and living areas with their respective cleaning supplies in each one.
